I think I attended one of Chuck Jones the Magic Man's tapings. Also, this might have been from a little earlier than I knew you, but do you remember a guy named Pinky Lee? I remember seeing a taping of his show also. My memory is that this guy was really, really lame. I'm sure he did the usual shtick of introing cartoons and all that kind of stuff. Do you remember Nine Island? I think it came on at 5 and had all the kid hosts from that station combined on one show. I remember the great thing about Engineer Bill was he would do the green light, red light thing when you drank your milk, so you had an excuse to chug it down, suddenly stop, swallow again, and basically run the risk of choking on your milk or spitting it all over the place depending on how abruptly you stopped at the red lights. Later, I remember engineer Bill had some kind of soda shop show where they played records and maybe even danced. I can tell you, whatever Engineer Bill's limited appeal might have been, it certainly didn't extend to being some kind of hip guy running a soda shop for a bunch of teenagers. Jeez, I don't want to watch that stuff. I want an excuse to spew milk! <> August 24 -- which makes me a Virgo -- not the most exciting astrological sign if you're a 7 year old kid. <> Hey, we were going to be moving soon anyway. It wouldn't be our problem. <> This I don't remember -- but we certainly found inventive ways to keep ourselves occupied! Jim
