The Myth

The myth of the Bunny Man involving an insane asylum, a hatchet, dead bunnies and the bridge on Colchester Road is widespread,
and can be found all over the Internet. To see what most people "know" about this urban legend
you can go here: "The Legend of the Bunny Man". This one has the virtue of being short.

Just use "Bunny Man" as search terms on YouTube and you'll find a bunch of these videos.
But keep in mind - this is all bogus!

The Historical Facts

Start with Brian Conley's excellent and extensive write-up for the Fairfax County Public Library, HERE.
It's called "The Bunny Man Unmasked: The Real Life Origins of an Urban Legend."
This (and the fact that my daughter was doing a report on the myth) is what led me to contact the actual people
involved in the 1970 incident. My 2004 interview with them is HERE.

The Fairfax County Police Record for the house on Guinea Road that
was slashed at by the Bunny Man is HERE.
It's at the intersection of Guinea and Pommeroy; we'll ride by it. I'll point to it!
