The Most Accident Prone House in the County

When I was a kid growing up in Burbank from 1965 to 1980, I was well aware of the ill-starred home on 1838 N. Buena Vista St.; we lived less than a half mile away. It seemed like there was a car or some other vehicle in the front yard or garage of that house nearly every year I lived there, no matter the number of lights or barriers that were erected by the city. On one pass through the intersection of Vanowen and Buena Vista I recall asking my father why cars kept ending up in this fellow's property. His reply was terse: "Lockheed drunks."

Here's a collection of Los Angeles Times articles about the property which they called "the most accident-prone house in the county."
